CTDs = Cumulative Trauma Disorders, RMI = Repetitive Motion Injury and RSI = Repetitive Strain Injury are descriptive terms for musculoskeletal pain and are not a medical diagnosis. When research studies use these terms instead of medical diagnoses, confusion develops. This has resulted in many studies suggesting a relationship between muscule pain and a specific job. Usually with in depth research, an association is determine but causation is not.
