Very frequently it is tight neck muscles and forward head posture (slouching) that will compress the nerve and blood vessels passing through the neck muscles on their way to the arm and hand, causing inadequate blood supply to hard-working arm and hand structures. This is called thoracic outlet compression and is very often the underlying cause of CTD. Many US doctors do not realize this!
